Toshiba Protégé R400

The Toshiba Protégé R400 tablet PC comes with Windows Vista Ultimate, a finger print reader and up to 4GB memory:

The really cool feature? Its wireless docking system uses Ultra Wideband (UWB). Just by being in range of the docking station, the laptop is automatically connected to an external display (in mirror or dual-display mode), mouse and keyboard.

My IBM and HP laptops have lasted longer than my Toshibas in the past but this one looks very tempting.

Free SMSs and phone calls with Gizmo

Gizmo has offered free phone calls for some time and they just extended the offer to let you send SMSs all over the world for free.

In the theory at least. I have tried sending messages to my Italian cell phone number the whole day without receiving anything :-(
I hope it is only a startup problem as it would be a great service as texting to numbers abroad costs a fortune in Italy.
