The super jump
Michel Fournier will try to make the big jump from 40km this month from a balloon. He will set no less than 4 world records if all goes well:
- Altitude record for a human balloon flight
- Altitude record for the highest freefall
- Speed record for the fastest freefall (sound barrier, 1.5machs)
- Time record for the longest freefall (6 minutes and 25 seconds)
The previous attempt in 2003 failed when the balloon broke during the launch.
